All-New Honda Amaze 2025: A Refined Compact Sedan for the Urban Indian Family

The highly anticipated 2025 Honda Amaze has finally made its debut in India, aiming to redefine the compact sedan segment once again. Known for its practicality, comfort, and reliability, the Amaze has long been a favorite among urban families and daily commuters. With this latest update, Honda has added a layer of sophistication and modernity to an already trusted nameplate.

Design and Exterior Updates

The 2025 Amaze showcases a bold new design, with a more prominent grille, sleeker LED projector headlamps, and a sharper front bumper that adds a sporty flair. Honda has given the side profile a subtle makeover with new alloy wheel designs and chrome accents that accentuate its premium appeal. The rear gets revised LED taillamps and a re-sculpted bumper, providing a more upscale and cohesive look.

Interior and Features

Step inside the new Amaze, and you’ll find a cabin that’s not only more refined but also more tech-savvy. The dual-tone dashboard now features soft-touch materials, while the redesigned center console houses a larger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Honda has also added ambient lighting, a wireless charger, rear AC vents, and improved NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) levels for a quieter cabin experience.

Performance and Engine Options

The 2025 model retains Honda’s trusted 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, delivering around 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual or CVT transmission. While there is no diesel option this time, the petrol-CVT combination continues to impress with its smooth performance and excellent fuel efficiency—an important factor for Indian buyers.

The engine has been fine-tuned for better throttle response and lower emissions, meeting the latest BS6 Phase 2 norms.

Safety First

Safety is a priority in the new Amaze. The sedan now comes with six airbags (top variants), ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with a camera, and vehicle stability assist (VSA) as standard across most trims. Honda has also improved the body structure to enhance crash protection.

Variants and Pricing

The new Amaze is offered in three primary variants: E, S, and VX, with both manual and CVT options available for the S and VX trims. Pricing starts from around ₹7.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹10.5 lakh for the top-end VX CVT.
