KARAM Extends Winter Protection to Municipal Workers Across North India

Amid intense cold wave conditions sweeping North India, KARAM launched a winter support drive aimed at safeguarding municipal frontline workers and vulnerable groups. Under this initiative, the company distributed more than 38,000 pairs of safety gloves to civic workers involved in outdoor and manual tasks, helping them stay protected while performing essential public services in freezing temperatures.

The distribution covered several North Indian cities, with Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand receiving special attention due to severe winter conditions. By providing winter safety gear, KARAM highlighted the importance of protecting workers who remain exposed to extreme weather while ensuring uninterrupted civic operations.

Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Kavita Nigam, Chief Human Resources Officer at KARAM Safety, said the effort reflects the company’s people-first philosophy. She emphasized that the initiative was rooted in empathy and responsibility towards those who keep cities functioning even during harsh climatic conditions.

In Lucknow, the drive was conducted in partnership with the Lucknow Municipal Corporation and witnessed the presence of Hon’ble Mayor Ms. Sushma Kharkwal, reaffirming the city’s commitment to worker welfare. In Sitarganj, Uttarakhand, the Nagar Palika supported the initiative, with distribution led by Executive Officer Ms. Pratibha Kohli.

Through this voluntary effort, KARAM reinforced its commitment to community welfare and worker safety during times of increased vulnerability.
