New Delhi, March 30, 2026: KARAM Safety, a global manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection systems, carried out a wide-ranging series of awareness programmes during National Safety Month, aiming to promote safer practices across both industrial workplaces and public spaces. Instead of limiting its efforts to National Safety Week, the company extended its activities throughout the entire month to broaden its impact and encourage long-term behavioural change.
As part of this initiative, KARAM Safety partnered with major industry players such as SMS Group, Ashok Leyland, and Tata Group to organise on-site training sessions at factories, plants, and construction sites. These sessions focused on practical demonstrations, allowing workers to gain hands-on experience in using PPE correctly in real-world situations. By engaging directly with employees at operational sites, the company was able to reach a wide workforce and reinforce the importance of adhering to safety protocols.
Commenting on the initiative, Hemant Sapra, President – Global Sales and Marketing at KARAM Safety, emphasised that safety goes beyond regulatory compliance and must become an integral part of daily behaviour. He noted that the extended observance was designed to take safety awareness beyond workplaces and into communities, with a focus on education, engagement, and encouragement to adopt safer habits in everyday life.
In addition to its industrial outreach, the company also worked with its regional sales teams to connect with the general public. Awareness stalls were set up in busy marketplaces, where visitors were informed about everyday safety measures and solutions. The outreach saw active participation from both workers and the public, reflecting growing interest in safety awareness.
The month-long campaign also coincided with the inauguration of the 55th National Safety Week, held under the theme “Encourage, Engage, and Educate.” The programme began with flag hoisting ceremonies conducted in collaboration with the National Safety Council across KARAM Safety’s manufacturing facilities. This was followed by a keynote address highlighting improvements in incident reduction and stressing the importance of reporting near-miss incidents to achieve the company’s goal of zero harm across all locations.
Internally, the company organised various activities to involve employees and strengthen a shared sense of responsibility toward maintaining safe working environments.
Through its extended National Safety Month campaign, KARAM Safety reiterated its focus on fostering a culture of safety that reaches beyond industries into the wider community, ensuring that awareness translates into safer practices for everyone.
