Pension Adalat in Pune Resolves Majority of Cases On the Spot

In a significant boost to pension grievance redressal, the Office of the Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), Maharashtra & Goa, successfully conducted its Quarterly Pension Adalat in Pune, resolving the majority of cases swiftly and efficiently.

Held on March 16 at the office of the Principal General Manager Telecom (PGMT), the Adalat was chaired by Dr. Satish Chandra Jha, Controller of Communication Accounts, Maharashtra & Goa. The initiative aimed to provide a transparent and time-bound platform for addressing pension-related concerns.

Efficient Disposal of Cases

A total of five formal applications were presented during the session. All cases were thoroughly examined and resolved in accordance with the provisions of the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules. In addition to these, nearly 30 pension-related cases from other units were also taken up for discussion, with most being settled on the spot.

The prompt resolution of cases highlights the effectiveness of the Adalat system in addressing grievances without prolonged delays, offering immediate relief to pensioners.

Positive Response from Pensioners

Pensioners who attended the Adalat expressed satisfaction with the transparent and efficient functioning of the CCA Maharashtra & Goa office. Many appreciated the cooperative approach of officials and staff, noting that their concerns were handled with clarity and responsiveness.

Improving Pension Delivery Mechanism

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jha pointed out that the declining number of cases reaching the Pension Adalat reflects improvements in the overall pension settlement process. The trend suggests that issues are increasingly being resolved at earlier stages, reducing the need for escalation.

The Pension Adalat initiative continues to serve as an important mechanism for ensuring accountability and strengthening trust between pensioners and administrative authorities.

With its focus on timely grievance resolution and citizen-centric service delivery, the Pune Adalat stands as a model for effective public service administration.
